Traversing

Synopsis

The video projection consists of satellite footage of an object that falls through space and earth’s atmosphere, accompanied by a distorted voice from a scientist who believes the earth does not quite look as we think. The sound page consists of a mixture of different spherical sounds (ie buzzing earth heard from the outer space, and spherical sounds taken from satellites around the world)

We perceive a deep fall against the earth. From the turning point of the falling object, the curvature of the earth seems to move, and a visual confusion arises in relation to what is earth and what is the space, thereby creating a negation of space and the experience of the earth and the world image.
